So I am pretty sure during this semester I have learned one important lesson....a 35 year old is not meant to learn a new language....I really really dislike Spanish! It just not coming easy to me and every time I think I have it under control something else new pops up in class that changes everything I have learned. News writing is going fairly well so I think I will have that under control. Next semester really scares me....Biology, Spanish II, and Statistics.
I have to be honest every Monday and Wednesday I come home from these classes and reaffirm to myself why I am going to all of this trouble. I am really hoping that working this hard shows my kids how important education is and why it is worth all of this effort.
The stress of my fall has certainly been balanced by all of the fun times we have been having, but between school, both mine and the kids, church, soccer, and Katee's craziness I feel like my head is going to explode. Soccer is over this weekend so I think that will free up some of my time.
Katee has been a real handful lately. About 3 weeks ago she was angry over something and proceeded to scream and through things, including herself, on the floor and carry on like I have never seen anyone do. About 10 minutes into this craziness she collapsed on the couch and was sucking her thumb and acting mute. At first I thought she was quite possibly insane. Then I realized she was throwing her very first tantrum. After this she began to throw one or two a day and she doesn't seem to care where we are or what we are doing!! We have left stores, parks, and restaurants over the last 3 weeks. I generally just let her carry on until she is done and pretty much ignore her, but sometimes she gets out of control and I have to put her on time out, which consists of her in her room screaming while I hold the door shut....good times!!
Don't get me wrong Katee is a little sweetheart, she is always polite, and she can be so good, but when the crazy Katee comes out all I can say is....LOOKOUT!!!!
